"I was running out of bullets, I knew I would be shot" - War veteran who was shot in his forehead recovers

One of the participants of the Patriotic War is Khayal Abdullayev who is from Jalilabad's Guneyli village. 

After finishing secondary school, in 2015, he went to the military service. He participated in the April battles as a soldier. 

The love for military service brought him to the army again. Thus, he started working as a serviceman. He joined the Patriotic War since the first days and took part in a number of successful operations. 

Khayal was injured in the battles 3 times, and he has been treated in Turkey by the "YASHAT" Foundation. 

The war veteran's father Yashar Abdullayev says that a part of Khayal's head was absent: "Last time, he received a bullet to his head; a part of it was missing. The "YASHAT" Foundation sent him to Turkey; my son has undergone a surgery there. Now, he is alright, he has some problems in his eye, but they promised they would cure it as well." 

Khayal Abdullayev says that he joined the battles from the direction of Fuzuli. On the first day of the war, he received a shrapnel wound on his leg. During the heavy battles with the enemy, he was shot in the head by a sniper and evacuated from the battlefield by his comrades-in-arms: "Our tabor commander was shot, I replaced him. I knew that if they shot once, they would shoot again, I would be shot. I was running out of bullets. When I stood up, I was shot in the forehead by a sniper. My comrade-in-arms Vugar took me out of there." 

Azerbaijan has claimed victory in the Patriotic War due to such brave sons. Our lands have been liberated. 

Khayal Abdullayev is eager to recover and go back to the lands he has fought for as soon as possible.
